Van Help for Moves and Collections in Fraserburgh
Fraserburgh is in Aberdeenshire, at the north-east corner of Scotland, about 40 miles from Aberdeen, roughly 18 miles from Peterhead and around 26 miles from Ellon. Known locally as the Broch, it has a working harbour, Saltoun Square, Mid Street, Kinnaird Head and coast roads heading out towards smaller villages along the Buchan shore.
The harbour is not just local colour. It changes the sort of man and van jobs that comes up in Fraserburgh. A job near Shore Street, the harbour side or a business unit may involve timed access, trade supplies, equipment, fishery-related work or a loading point that is busy at certain parts of the day. That needs clearer instructions than a normal house collection.
Harbour-side access and town-centre loading
Around Saltoun Square, Mid Street, Hanover Street and the roads leading towards the harbour, it is worth saying where the van can actually stop. A freezer, sofa or bed may be easy from a stairs and parking, but not from an upper floor, shop doorway or street where the driver has to keep moving.
Weather and harbour traffic can also make timing less forgiving. If the pickup is from a yard, unit, shop or working area, give the contact name, loading point and any time restrictions before the job is agreed. A driver heading back towards Peterhead, Ellon or Aberdeen needs to know whether the load is ready, loose, boxed or heavy.
Coastal villages and longer runs
Fraserburgh jobs often stretch beyond the town to Rosehearty, St Combs, Inverallochy and other places along the coast. These are not city-style short hops. The final address may have narrow access, exposed parking, a farm track, a seafront stopping issue or very little room to turn a van round.
Getting a Fraserburgh job quoted properly
Use the directory if a suitable Fraserburgh driver is listed, or use VanHub UK’s assisted route if there is no clear match. The better the enquiry, the better the chance of a sensible answer: say whether it is harbour-side, town centre, a house move, a business courier run or a coastal village run, and include the access details before asking for a price.
