VANHUB UK – DRIVER TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated:
5th April 2026

These Driver Terms & Conditions govern your use of the VanHub UK platform and any job introductions made through it. By registering with VanHub UK, remaining listed on the platform, or accepting any customer introduction through VanHub UK, you agree to these terms.

1. About VanHub UK

VanHub UK operates primarily as a driver directory and introduction platform. It is not a transport provider, does not carry goods, does not operate removal, courier, or haulage services, does not employ drivers, and does not enter into contracts of carriage. VanHub UK also does not guarantee work, earnings, or lead volume. Where VanHub UK shares customer enquiries with drivers, it does so as an introduction and referral service only.

2. Independent Contractor Status

You acknowledge and agree that you are self-employed and operate independently. You are not an employee, worker, partner, joint venturer, or agent of VanHub UK, and nothing in these terms creates any employment relationship between you and VanHub UK. You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, VAT, accounting, business expenses, and legal compliance. You are free to accept or decline any enquiry or introduction, set your own prices, choose your own hours, working areas, and availability, and work for other businesses, platforms, and customers, including competitors of VanHub UK. VanHub UK does not supervise you in the performance of transport services and does not control how you carry out your work.

3. Nature of the Service

VanHub UK may, at its discretion, list your business or profile on its platform, pass customer enquiries or job opportunities to you, introduce you to prospective customers, and charge a separate introduction, referral, or platform fee in connection with a customer introduction. Any such fee relates only to the introduction or referral and not to the transport service itself. VanHub UK does not set, negotiate, or alter your service charge. Any quote for the actual transport service must come from you.

4. No Guarantee of Work

VanHub UK does not guarantee any minimum number of leads, enquiries, or introductions, any particular level of earnings or revenue, any fair or equal distribution of enquiries between drivers, that any enquiry will result in a booking, or that any customer will proceed once introduced. VanHub UK may decide, at its sole discretion, whether, when, and to whom to pass on enquiries.

5. Driver Eligibility Requirements

To use VanHub UK, you must at all times be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom, hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle you use, operate a roadworthy, taxed, tested, and legally compliant vehicle, hold and maintain all insurance reasonably required for the work you undertake, including motor insurance and, where applicable, hire and reward, goods in transit, and public liability insurance, and provide accurate and current details about yourself, your business, your vehicle, and your insurance when requested.

You must immediately notify VanHub UK if your licence is suspended, revoked, or restricted, your insurance lapses or is invalidated, your vehicle becomes unroadworthy or unavailable, or any material information previously provided becomes inaccurate. VanHub UK may request evidence of licence, insurance, vehicle details, or other relevant information at any time.

6. Driver Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for deciding whether to quote for or accept a job, providing your own quote, checking that a job is suitable for your vehicle, team size, equipment, and insurance, contacting the customer directly once introduced, agreeing the final service details directly with the customer, carrying out the work safely, lawfully, and professionally, safe lifting, loading, unloading, securing, and transport of goods, complying with all road traffic laws and applicable transport regulations, taking payment for the transport service from the customer unless otherwise expressly agreed, handling customer queries, complaints, disputes, cancellations, delays, and claims relating to your service, and any damage, loss, injury, delay, or other issue arising from the service you provide. VanHub UK has no responsibility for how you perform the job.

7. Direct Contract with the Customer

When a customer chooses to proceed with you, the contract for the transport or moving service is made directly between you and the customer. This means that you are the service provider, the customer is your customer, and you are solely responsible for the service you provide. VanHub UK is not a party to the service contract and is not responsible for payment disputes, service failures, damage claims, or refunds relating to your service.

8. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes for the transport service must be set by you. You must provide honest and accurate quotes based on the information available, clearly state what is and is not included, not deliberately underquote in order to secure work and then materially increase the price without good reason, and not misrepresent vehicle size, staffing, timing, capabilities, or insurance. VanHub UK may pass on your quote, but it does not adopt your quote as its own and does not become responsible for it.

9. Introduction / Referral Fees

Where applicable, VanHub UK may charge you an introduction fee, referral fee, lead fee, commission, platform fee, or similar charge in relation to a customer introduction. You agree that any such fee is payable in accordance with the arrangement notified to you, the fee relates to the introduction only, the fee does not make VanHub UK a transport provider or party to the service contract, and failure to pay agreed fees may result in suspension or removal from the platform. VanHub UK may change its fee structure from time to time by giving reasonable notice.

10. Customer Data and Confidentiality

Where VanHub UK shares customer details with you, you agree that you will use those details only for the specific enquiry, quote, or booking discussion concerned, you will not use customer details for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis and any required consent, you will not sell, share, or misuse customer information, you will keep customer information secure and handle it in accordance with applicable data protection law, and you become independently responsible for how you use personal data once it is shared with you. You must only contact the customer in relation to the relevant enquiry or booking unless the customer separately agrees otherwise.

11. Platform Rules and Conduct

You must act honestly, lawfully, and professionally, communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and VanHub UK, provide accurate information about your services, maintain appropriate standards of behaviour and service, and avoid conduct likely to damage the reputation of VanHub UK.

You must not pretend to be employed by or officially represent VanHub UK, describe VanHub UK as your employer, operator, or transport company, misuse customer data, provide false or misleading information, use abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unlawful behaviour, damage the VanHub UK name, brand, or reputation, or make claims suggesting VanHub UK is carrying out the work when the work is being carried out by you.

12. Non-Circumvention and Fair Dealing

Where VanHub UK has introduced a customer to you under a fee-based arrangement, you must not deliberately avoid or undermine the agreed fee structure in relation to that introduction. This includes, where applicable, accepting an introduced job while knowingly avoiding an agreed referral fee, or using deceptive conduct to bypass the agreed commercial arrangement with VanHub UK. This clause does not prevent you from operating your own business independently or working with other customers or competitors.

13. Cancellations and Reliability

If you have indicated that you are available or willing to take a job, you must act in good faith. You should give as much notice as reasonably possible if you become unavailable, your quote changes materially, or you cannot complete the work as expected. Repeated unreliability, last-minute cancellations, failure to respond, or poor conduct may result in reduced introductions, suspension, or removal.

14. Listings, Profiles, and Platform Content

If VanHub UK displays your name, business details, images, service description, or profile information, you confirm that you have the right to provide that material, it is accurate and not misleading, and it does not infringe any third-party rights. VanHub UK may edit, refuse, suspend, remove, or reclassify any listing or profile at its discretion. VanHub UK’s name, logo, website, branding, design, and platform content remain its property unless stated otherwise.

15. Complaints and Disputes

Any complaint, claim, or dispute relating to the service you provide is a matter between you and the customer. VanHub UK may, if it chooses, assist administratively, but it is not obliged to mediate, does not guarantee any outcome, is not responsible for resolving the dispute, and does not accept liability for the service itself.

16. Suspension and Termination

VanHub UK may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the platform immediately, with or without notice, where it reasonably considers that you have breached these terms, your insurance or licence is invalid, lapsed, or not provided when requested, you have provided false, misleading, or incomplete information, customer complaints raise legitimate concerns, your conduct creates legal, reputational, operational, or commercial risk, or continuing to list or introduce you is not in the interests of the platform.

You may stop using VanHub UK at any time. Any accrued payment obligations owed to VanHub UK survive suspension or termination.

17. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VanHub UK is not liable for loss, damage, injury, delay, missed profit, missed opportunity, service failure, or dispute arising from any job, customer interaction, or service provided by you. VanHub UK is not liable for the acts or omissions of customers and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

If VanHub UK is found liable to you for any matter arising from these terms, its total liability shall be limited to the amount of any fee actually paid by you to VanHub UK in relation to the specific introduction giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified VanHub UK against claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or connected with your service delivery, your negligence or misconduct, your breach of these terms, your misuse of personal data, your failure to maintain insurance or legal compliance, and claims brought by customers or third parties arising from the service you provide.

19. Changes to These Terms

VanHub UK may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will apply once published or otherwise notified to you. Continued use of the platform after any update means you accept the revised terms.

20. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

A small improvement I’d make before you use this live: change “booking discussion” in section 10 to “enquiry or service discussion” if you want to stay fully away from booking-company language.
