We believe in simple, flexible van bookings. These terms keep things fair for everyone — customers, drivers, and us.💡

WHO WE ARE

VanHub UK is a platform that helps customers find and book trusted local van drivers — fast.We’re not the transport provider. We connect you with independent, self-employed drivers who handle the job directly. This means you're booking a driver, not us — and we’re here to make that process as smooth as possible.

1. DEFINITIONS

VanHub UK – the booking and referral platform that connects customers with drivers. Driver – an independent, self-employed van operator who provides the transport service. Customer – the person booking the service. Deposit – a small fee paid in advance to confirm a booking. Job – the transport activity agreed in the booking request.

2. OUR ROLE – PLATFORM, NOT PROVIDER

VanHub UK does not operate vans, transport items, or employ drivers. We are a referral platform that connects customers with self-employed drivers.We do not enter into contracts of carriage. The agreement to carry out the job exists only between you (the customer) and the driver.

3. INDEPENDENT DRIVERS

All drivers are independent and responsible for their own: • Equipment • Insurance • Conduct • Timekeeping • Service deliveryVanHub UK does not manage or supervise drivers. Any complaints or issues (e.g. lateness, damage, service problems) must be addressed directly with the driver.

4. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Drivers confirm that they hold valid Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurance.However, we do not verify insurance documents. If you’re unsure or booking high-value transport, we recommend you ask the driver to confirm cover directly.VanHub UK is not responsible for any damage, loss, or injury caused by the driver or their vehicle.

5. QUOTES & DEPOSITS

• Quotes are based on the information you provide. • A small deposit is required to confirm the booking. • This deposit becomes non-refundable once a driver is assigned.You can cancel within 2 hours of confirmation for a full refund, as long as the job hasn’t started.If a driver cancels: • We’ll try to assign a replacement • If we can’t, your deposit will be refunded in fullPaying a deposit confirms you’ve requested the service and agree to these terms.

6. CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

If you cancel after the 2-hour grace period or don’t show at the pickup location: → Your deposit will not be refunded.If you're late, some drivers may apply a waiting fee after 15 minutes. This will be confirmed at the quote stage if applicable.

7. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

You are responsible for: • Providing accurate job details • Confirming if lifting help is needed • Ensuring clear access at pickup and drop-off • Protecting fragile items with wrapping, padding, or boxesVanHub UK and its drivers are not liable for damage to items that were not properly packed before loading. Securing items inside the van is the driver’s responsibility.

8. JOB ACCURACY & ADJUSTED FEES

If the job differs significantly from what was described (e.g. more items, stairs, long carry distance, restricted access): → The driver may request a revised fee before continuing.Normal traffic delays will not result in extra charges. VanHub UK does not get involved in pricing disputes.

9. DISPUTES

VanHub UK is not part of the agreement between customer and driver. We don’t mediate disputes or offer compensation. We can pass on messages if needed, but final resolution is between you and the driver.

10. DRIVER ILLNESS, DELAYS & NO-SHOWS

If a driver is delayed due to illness, breakdown, or unexpected issues:• We’ll inform you as soon as we know • We’ll try to assign a new driver • If that’s not possible, your deposit will be refunded in fullIf a driver completely no-shows and can’t be contacted: → We’ll refund your deposit → You can submit a new booking if you wishVanHub UK is not responsible for knock-on losses (missed appointments, fees, penalties). Please book with some buffer time.
