VANHUB UK – DRIVER TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Driver Terms & Conditions govern your use of the VanHub UK platform. By registering or accepting jobs through VanHub UK, you agree to these terms.


1. Platform Status


VanHub UK is a booking and referral platform.

VanHub UK:

  • Does not operate transport services

  • Does not employ drivers

  • Does not act as a transport provider

  • Does not enter into contracts of carriage

All transport services are provided solely by independent drivers.

VanHub UK acts only as an intermediary introducing customers to drivers.


2. Independent Contractor Status


You confirm that:

  • You are self-employed

  • You operate your own business

  • You are not an employee, worker, or agent of VanHub UK

  • You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, and VAT obligations

Nothing in these terms creates:

  • Employment

  • Partnership

  • Joint venture

  • Agency

You have full discretion to:

  • Accept or decline jobs

  • Set your own pricing

  • Choose your working hours

  • Provide services to other platforms or customers


3. Eligibility Requirements


To use the platform, you must:

  • Be legally entitled to work in the UK

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence appropriate for your vehicle

  • Operate a roadworthy, insured vehicle

  • Maintain appropriate insurance including:

    • Motor insurance for hire and reward where required

    • Goods in Transit insurance

    • Public Liability insurance

You may be required to provide evidence of insurance.

VanHub UK reserves the right to suspend access if insurance lapses.

4. Driver Responsibilities


You are solely responsible for:


  • Safe loading and unloading

  • Securing items correctly

  • Complying with road traffic law

  • Complying with transport regulations

  • Damage, loss or delay

  • Handling customer disputes

  • Providing accurate quotes

  • Collecting payments where applicable

VanHub UK is not responsible for service performance.


5. Customer Contract


When you accept a job:

  • The contract exists directly between you and the customer

  • You are solely liable for service delivery

  • You are responsible for payment collection unless otherwise agreed

VanHub UK is not a party to the transport contract.


6. Platform Fees / Deposits


Where applicable:

  • VanHub UK may charge a platform fee

  • VanHub UK may collect a customer deposit

If deposits are collected:

  • Deposits secure booking confirmation

  • Final payment arrangements are between driver and customer

  • Commission or referral fees may apply

Failure to honour agreed fees may result in removal from the platform.


7. Conduct Standards


Drivers must:

  • Act professionally

  • Communicate clearly

  • Not misrepresent services

  • Not misuse customer data

  • Not solicit customers outside agreed platform rules in a deceptive manner

  • Not damage the reputation of VanHub UK

VanHub UK may suspend or remove drivers for misconduct.


8. Data Protection


Drivers receiving customer data agree:

  • To use it only for the relevant booking

  • Not to store or reuse it for unrelated marketing

  • To comply with UK GDPR

  • To implement reasonable data security measures

Drivers become independent data controllers once they receive customer information.


9. Limitation of Liability


VanHub UK’s liability is limited to the amount of any platform fee paid in relation to the specific booking.

VanHub UK is not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to goods

  • Personal injury

  • Contractual disputes

  • Driver negligence

  • Insurance failures

Drivers agree to indemnify VanHub UK against claims arising from:

  • Service delivery

  • Negligence

  • Regulatory breaches

  • Insurance non-compliance


10. Suspension and Termination


VanHub UK may suspend or terminate access:

  • For breach of these terms

  • For insurance lapse

  • For customer complaints

  • For reputational risk

  • At its discretion

Drivers may stop using the platform at any time.


11. Non-Exclusivity


This agreement is non-exclusive.

Drivers may operate:

  • Independently

  • With competitors

  • Through other platforms


12. Intellectual Property


The VanHub UK name, logo and branding remain the property of VanHub UK.

Drivers may not:

  • Use branding without permission

  • Represent themselves as employees

  • Suggest partnership or ownership


13. Dispute Handling


Customer disputes are between driver and customer.

VanHub UK may assist administratively but is not responsible for resolution outcomes.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
